THE PROJECT

This new four-story lecture hall building at SUNY Binghamton, designed with AE Works, will include three tiered lecture halls with a total seating capacity of 625 students. A common gathering space, group study and collaboration areas, classrooms, computer rooms, testing rooms and an active learning center will occupy the upper floors. This Net Zero Carbon-capable building, constructed utilizing a design-build project delivery method, will comply with the State University Construction Fund’s Directive 1B-2, New York State’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), Executive Order 22, and SUNY’s Policy Compliance Goal, meeting an Energy Use Intensity (EUI) of 29kBTU/SF/Year or less.
