The Project:
The Town of Geneva commissioned Holmes▪King▪Kallquist & Associates to create a new town hall, simultaneously symbolic of the town’s history and of its future. Located as a civic nucleus to a planned town center for this rural township, the new Geneva Town Hall encompasses 8,000 square feet of town offices, the town court, and a community meeting room. The flexibility of the community room also allows convertibility to courtroom use. The facility includes a satellite sheriff’s office. The building’s Classic Revival styling reflects both the highly symbolic civic architecture of the 1920s and 1930s and the historic Greek Revival architecture that dominates the town.
